This distinguished ranking, published by Quacquarelli Symonds, evaluated 8,467 universities globally, identifying the top 1,501 institutions. UM5R’s recognition stems from its remarkable output of 12,552 scientific publications, underscoring its expertise in fields like engineering, computer science, life sciences, and technology. The university’s achievements are attributed to the collective dedication of its faculty, students, and administrative teams that continuously strive to bolster UM5R’s international reputation.
The QS ranking employs a rigorous methodology based on five key criteria: academic reputation and research impact, which account for 50% of the total; graduate employability, contributing another 20%; followed by international influence at 15%; faculty-to-student ratio, 10%; and commitment to sustainable development comprising 5%. This thorough evaluation method is supplemented by bibliometric data sourced from the Scopus database, covering scientific publications and citations from 2019 onwards.
